Cloud Computing: Hybrid Cloud
Cloud computing type: Hybrid Cloud
An enterprise can deploy a private cloud to host sensitive or critical services, but use a third-party public cloud provider to host less-critical resources, such as test and development environment. Some example scenarios that would adapt well in a hybrid cloud are the following: Disaster Recovery and Remote Encrypted Backup.
Being able to access Public Cloud’s flexibility and scalability eliminates the need for a company to make big investments to cover short time limited needs. The public cloud provider supplies compute resources, and the company only pays for the resources it consumes. Despite its benefits, hybrid cloud can present some challenges. It must be possible to access and interact with public cloud providers from the private one, so the two cloud require a high level of compatibility depending on what level of automation wants to be achieved.
