Some preventive cyber-security measures to fight and lock possible attacks:

• Assessment of infrastructure – Penetration test
  It is a process that evaluates the security of a system or network, simulating an hacker attack. The penetration test is composed by several stages of analysis that have the aim of highlighting the weaknesses of the infrastructure and establish if the security level is enough to obstruct unauthorized accesses. In particular, the penetration test is useful to identify possible internal or external vulnerability of the system, providing an accurate estimate of the infrastructure defence capabilities. Security issues detected are submitted to the client together with a global assessment of the platform security, indicating technical solutions to improve the situation.
• Firewall
  Firewall is a perimeter defence component of an information network which is intended to protect the system by controlling the accesses to its resources. It’s a security measure that can protect a single computer or an entire network, filtering contents exchanged with outside and locking them where they are considered unsafe. Traffic is filtered according to specific rules that define the security policy. A firewall can be a software or a hardware device, or a combination of both, and may have different features and settings.

As regards Recovery Time Objective (RTO), snapshots ensure shorter times compared to backup service.
